this thing is a tank.  best $ I ever spent on a working knofe.  but...why doesn&#039;t it come in D2?  if Ontario was smart, theyed offer it.  this animal would outsell the Rat 1 and 2 put together.  It has waaaaay better grips and blade shape for an edc, and is the &quot;right&quot; size.  right between the Rat model 1 and 2.  Come on Ontario, give us the good steel now!!!

This is one of the first knives I bought for EDC, and after buying this I&#039;ve bought some more high end knives such as a Benchmade Griptilian, a Spyderco Manix 2 in S110V steel. Of course this Utilitac 2 doesn&#039;t hold an edge as long as those better steels, but the grip feels amazing, the build quality is excellent, it has a very smooth action that almost opens itself. It&#039;s a very ergonomic knife and even though I have more expensive knives I still carry this one a lot especially at work to save wear on my better knives. For the price this thing is amazing. It holds an edge long enough that with heavy daily use I strop it every few days and have only sharpened it once in several months so it&#039;s good enough for me. It&#039;s also incredibly easy to sharpen and takes a razor edge. Very happy with this knife and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive EDC or &quot;beater&quot; knife that feels like it&#039;s over $100
