I have had this knife for about a year now, and I have used it in many situations, from batoning wood to cutting cord. It has never chipped, or snapped in any way, and has remained surprisingly sharp for how much abuse I put it through.

A great medium-sized knife that works well in a variety of roles, from chopping and batoning to carving and feathersticking. Esee’s 1095 has held up very well, but will require consistent attention to ensure that it does not rust. The micarta handle scales have been very comfortable, and the forward finger choil offers a comfortable hand position for finer tasks. The molded plastic sheath securely holds the knife with minimal rattle. If you’re on the fence between this and one of the Ontario RATs, I would recommend spending the cash if you can and grab the Esee, just for the sake of the lifetime warranty.

If you want a knife that can do it all this is the knife for you. It will take a razor sharp edge and hold it well. It feels great in hand and chops very well. I’ve had this knife for months and I’ve really put it to the test and I can honestly say that I would trust my life with this knife. It’s built like a tank. Also if anything was to happen to it. Esee’s warranty is outstanding.

Love this knife! Strong, sharp, versatile, and reliable. easy modified both sheath and knife. The reason I didn&#039;t give 5 stars is because the handle is really blocky and kind of large for my meadum sized hands. But nothing a little elbow grease and sand paper won&#039;t fix!
