This is my first BRS, not my first balisong. I see what all the hype is about, this bali is not just beautiful but engineered and tuned to perfection. I am seriously impressed by the this Replicant and would recommend it to anyone who wants to flip, carry or both. It was a bit weird that the latch was not installed, easily fixed.

CRKT Pilar Frame Lock Knife Natural G-10 BHQ Exclusive (2.4&quot; Black SW D2)

Nice looking knife with decent materials, but needed to be taken down and readjusted.  I guess for a knife at this price CRKT just slaps them together and lets the customer hassle with getting them in working condition.  I&#039;ve come to expect that from CRKT, and yet Civivi can produce similarly priced knives with comparable (or better) materials that are almost always perfect.  After some fiddling, it now feels solid, but may take a long time before the action is what I&#039;d consider satisfactory.

Just got mine in the mail. So far seems like an ok knife. Been wanting to check out CRKT for a minute. The scale on this is very nice probably the main reason I got it. The grip is comfortable. Edge is not the greatest but not horrible. It&#039;s a steep biting edge not shaving sharp but does pass the paper test. Steel is decent which is another reason I went with this upgrade D2 steel. The worst thing is the action on it. It&#039;s just BAD no way I could one hand this open and I can one hand the kershuffle. Gonna fidget with the action screws see if I can loosen it up some cause of the box it&#039;s too tight. Like opening an old buck knife it&#039;s so stiff. It&#039;s only $50 so not stressing it too much but I think I&#039;d get something better from Kershaw. Still little disappointed in it.

This knife is very well built and solid. It&#039;s profile is thin and I can&#039;t tell that it&#039;s in my pocket. There&#039;s no hotspots with a firm purchase. The detent is strong and sufficient  enough to flick the blade open, and the lock up is solid with no blade play. It&#039;s razor sharp out of the box. It comes tip down, but I changed it to tip up and it fits in the pocket without protruding too much out of the top of my pocket, and the clip in the tip up position acts as an over travel stop for the frame lock. Excellent knife.

Many people don&#039;t get hawkbills without actually putting them to use. Once you understand how to use and how to sharpen they can&#039;t be beat. The harpy is compact, strong and cuts like crazy. I usually carry 2 folders on me. One that is EDC then SD and one that is SD then EDC. The harpy is the latter. However, many times I find myself reaching for it for tasks before a regular folder. I&#039;ve bought 10+ karambits to try to knock this out of my pocket. 5 years later...still champ.
