I bought this primarily to use as a work knife, and it&#039;s a triumph at that role alongside general EDC use. Straight out of the box it was incredibly sharp, and—despite being such a large, tank-like knife—the blade was shockingly thin, which meant it just wants to slice through anything with minimal effort. Mind you, it&#039;s not excessively thin; I don&#039;t believe it&#039;ll have any long-term issues with hard-use. Rather, it&#039;s exactly as thick as it needs to be, for durability, without being excessive. On top of this, despite using washers, I didn&#039;t have to wear them in at all. It effortlessly flicked open and dropped shut with a flawless, buttery smooth action, straight out of the box! I will admit, I had some trouble operating the ball-bearing lock at first. Despite any similarities it may superficially have with crossbar locks like the axis lock, it operates quite differently, and my crossbar lock muscle memory had me fumbling with the lock. On top of that, the tension of coil spring the ball-bearing lock uses is quite strong, and as such, it requires more finger strength than any crossbar lock I&#039;ve ever used. Despite these factors, after just 3 days of fooling around with the lock and using the knife when needed, I had built up the muscle memory required to operate it AND have worked some of the stiffness out of it; it&#039;s now quite trivial for me to open or close the knife by operating the lock, but I imagine it&#039;d be difficult for someone else if I had to hand it off to them. The handle itself is very comfortable, lending itself well to those with large hands and/or large gloves. Not only does offer great ergonomics, but it also has a great deal of well-place jimping. The micarta is nice and has a relatively gentle texture to it, giving you just enough traction without making it uncomfortable (as someone whos jeans are regularly abused by aggressive handle textures, I quite appreciate it). It does take up a fair amount of real-estate in the pocket, but I haven&#039;t found it uncomfortable. The pocket clip is sturdy and well designed, but for what it&#039;s worth, it&#039;s not a deep carry clip; this doesn&#039;t bother me, though, as it helps withdraw the knife when I need it. All-in-all, this is an excellent knife, and I&#039;m glad I bought it.

Perfectly balanced for my xxl hands! I have a hard time finding knives that feel right in my hands and this is just perfect! Cruwear is a great user steel and strops back amazingly well. I love the quality of the micarta as well.

I have 2 of these, and one thing I can say about the American made models, is that the quality is definitely better and with both of these I have, the blade bevels are on point, and while one of them is a bit less drop shut, a little care will clear that up. The micarta is exceptional. Would highly recommend!
