The Blade HQ Exclusive Dodo is a unique and eye-catching design by Eric Glesser of Spyderco. As fans ourselves, we couldn't resist bringing back this discontinued model and giving it a natural G-10 handle and M4 steel treatment. This limited edition BHQ Exclusive is sure to sell out quickly.
The C80GM4P is a folding knife with a textured natural G-10 handle and a satin finished CPM-M4 steel blade with a plain edge. The Dodo has received a lot of attention for its unconventional appearance, but it embodies many of Spyderco's design principles. It's a compact yet powerful knife that was designed with ergonomics in mind and made with high-quality materials. We challenge you to hold it, use it, and let us know what you think.
One of the unique features of the Dodo is its blade shape. Despite having less than two inches of cutting edge, the curved belly provides excellent cutting performance, and the downward-pointed tip is perfect for detailed and fine cutting tasks. The G-10 handle is designed with finger choils that offer multiple gripping options, and the tail of the handle serves as both a pinky shelf and a striking tool.
For the Dodo, Spyderco developed the Ball Bearing Lock, a strong and reliable locking mechanism. It works by dropping a small steel ball into a recess on the blade's tang, securely locking the blade in the open position. To unlock the blade, simply pull back on the ball, which can be accessed from both sides of the knife for left or right-handed users.
The Dodo comes with a flexible wire tension-clip that allows for ambidextrous carry in a tip-up position. It is proudly made in Golden, Colorado.
