I keep buying new wave karambits when they come out but none compare to my Karahawk.  The feeling in hand, the slimness and weight are unrivaled for what you pay.  Believe me when I say that I&#039;ve tried almost EVERY folding wave karambit on the market - I&#039;ve been EDCing a wave karambit every day since my Emerson Combat Karambit purchased in 2004.  Is it fidgety?  No.. not until you have it open, then you can spin it around if that&#039;s your thing.  It is RELIABLE...  and besides some light G10 wear from daily pocket carry, it looks brand new.  No, I don&#039;t use it to cut anything.  It is a self-defense knife.  I usually carry a small fixed blade or small folding 5th pocket knife as my &quot;user&quot;.  If you&#039;re serious about karambits and you want a REAL TOOL FOR SELF-DEFENSE and not some gimmicky ceramic bearing button lock save yourself a lot of time and effort and buy this one.  Spyderco got it right years ago and no one has really come close since.  You will thank me later!

I was debating posting such a glowing review of this knife because they aren’t always in stock available but since they are now I suppose I’ll spill it. The Spyderco Karambit is by far one of my favorite knives. The color scheme, fit, finish, size are all perfect for ME. I love the fact that you can deploy this knife using the “Emerson” style opener or the classic Spyderco hole. The size might be small for bigger hands so for reference on medical calls I wear a size Large or 7.5-8 for sterile packaged gloves. This knife is also good for states where you may not be able to carry a larger blade/Karambit. The knife can take a beaten and is one of my EDC. The one thing I wish it had was an option for a serrated edge or combo edge but I get most Karambits are straight edge. The price on BladeHQ is great and I would highly recommend adding this to your collection if your looking for a quality “smaller sized” Karambit/EDC utility…plus I get a lot of compliments and people asking what is that. 

I carry this everday I wear jeans and it sits perfectly in the 5th coin pocket on jeans. I love spinning this and is safer to fling around than a fox 479 because of the smaller blade length. Other positives are the light weight, ergos, and the design. Even though this is vg-10 that makes it easy to sharpen a hard hawkbill profile so I prefer the vg-10 to something like s30v. 

This is amazing! I love the all black, have a few scars from spinning it but it never gets old! It’s nice and has a thin profile. When you use the wave open and that knife jumps into your hand it just makes you feel ready for anything! Quick Violent Over!

I was on the fence about what folding edc style karambit knife to buy. From watching and reading reviews of several different brands it seemed like most karambits this style and size were hit and miss depending on the user or their opinions. I already owned several other Spyderco knives and knew the quality and durability of the brand so I decided to give the Karahawk a try and was very happy to receive exactly what I had hoped and expected from this piece. 1st Rapid and reliable deployment, an absolute must for this type of knife. 2nd excellent materials and build quality! Feels great in the hand/fist depending on how you want to use it and looks as slick as you expect it to. It is a true Spyderco knife. Search no more for the best edc karambit style knife!... in my opinion.

Very good construction. I wish it was a bit thicker in the handle and came with a deep pocket clip. The wave feature brings it closer to perfection though. I don&#039;t understand why all pocket folding karambits don&#039;t have a wave feature. Having to flip a karambit is counter-intuitive to its purpose and how its to be used. I own the original satin one but it makes itself too obvious. I ran and bought this when it can out in all black. When Im not carrying my harpy (which is never) I carry this and feel confident if i get in a jam. I did once, it worked perfect.

I own a ridiculous amount of folders and fixed blades I can finally say, I&#039;ve found my perfect daily carry. It&#039;s light, well balanced, and deploys easier then the other guys. I recommend adding the Allan Putnam scales as well.
