Spyderco Black PKal C103GP Knife

The Spyderco C103 PKal knife is specifically designed for the martial arts style known as Pikal, which means "to rip" in the Philippine Visayan dialect. While it is intended for this purpose, it also has features that make it suitable for everyday carry. The blade, made of CPM S30V steel, has a curved shape that naturally and comfortably facilitates pulling and downward cuts. Additionally, it has a removable Emerson Opening feature, popularized and patented by Ernest Emerson of Emerson Knives, which allows the blade to be opened by catching the back of a pants pocket during the drawing motion. The PKal knife is designed for reverse grip use, with a choil on top of the handle that provides a secure grip for the little finger, enhancing dexterity and control. The patented Ball Bearing Lock by Spyderco is located above and behind the blade, and it can be easily accessed for both left and right hand opening. The PKal knife can be conveniently clipped to a pocket with its steel wire clip, and it is carried in a tip-up position. Spyderco also offers a training version of the PKal knife, which is highly recommended.
