Spyderco SpyderFly 440C Steel Balisong Butterfly Knife

This Spyderco Spyderfly is a recent addition to our collection. It is in excellent condition, with only a few minor marks from handling. The knife pictured is the exact one available for purchase. The SpyderFly combines the classic design of a Balisong (or Butterfly) knife with innovative features from Spyderco. Balisongs are known for their swinging motion, often referred to as "doing the dance." The designer, Eric Glesser, has incorporated Spyderco's signature Round Hole into both handles. These holes provide excellent control and fluidity of movement when rotating the knife. The handle is designed with contours and valleys to provide a secure grip while maneuvering. There is a spring-loaded locking lever on either handle, allowing for left- or right-hand use. This lever locks the blade closed for safe pocket carry. To unlock the blade, simply squeeze the handles together. The blade is made of 440C steel and is hollow-ground and sharpened on one side only. It features a dagger grind down the center, ensuring smooth and balanced swinging. The wire pocket clip can be adjusted to either handle or either side of the knife, offering various carry options and draw positions. The SpyderFly combines the practicality of a traditional Balisong with the innovative features that Spyderco is known for.
