Introducing the left-handed version of the Spyderco Military model. This knife features a sleek design with black G-10 handle scales and a satin finished CPM-S30V steel blade. The chief designer at Spyderco was once asked, "If your loved one was deployed, what knife would you send with them?" This question led to three important considerations in the knife's design. Firstly, it had to offer exceptional cutting performance and edge longevity. Secondly, it needed to be lightweight and ergonomically practical. Lastly, it had to be incredibly durable and fail-safe for field use. The choice of CPM-S30V steel for the blade was a logical one, as it is renowned for its long-lasting edge retention and resistance to rust. The 'Millie' boasts a modified clip-point blade with a 14 mm Spyderco Round Hole, allowing for quick deployment and easy use with gloves. The textured area above the hole ensures a secure grip on the blade's spine during cutting, providing confident control over the sharp edge. The handle scales are made of G-10 material, with the lock's liner directly embedded into the scale. This design enhances the lock strength without adding unnecessary bulk. Spacers between the scales create a gap that runs the length of the handle, allowing for easy inspection and cleaning of the internal components. The handle also features a slight flare at the front end, creating a finger choil, and at the butt end to prevent the knife from slipping forward or backward during sawing or aggressive cuts.
