The Microtech LUDT has made a comeback and it's better than ever! There are some notable changes to this automatic knife, but the most noticeable one is the redesigned blade. It now has a notched thumb ramp and a smooth crowned spine. The hardware has also been upgraded to new-school Tri-Angle hardware, and the pivot assembly is now recessed for a sleeker look. Additionally, a hole has been added for lanyard attachment.

The handle of the LUDT features milled grooves on the tapered 6061-T6 aluminum, giving it a throwback style reminiscent of the early-2000 era models. This knife is a perfect combination of precision manufacturing, premium materials, and a timeless design, all at an affordable price.

This is my second LUDT. I Lost my first one on a trip to New Hampshire, and have missed it since. For a small light pocket nknife this is one of the most durable hardcore knives I’ve ever owned. I’ve used this thing to strip wire, pry open rifle bolts, as a screwdriver, open metal Ammo boxes, all kinds of stuff. I’ve never so much as chipped the tip or bald on this thing. I think there are a few of my ZT’s that I might like better for other reasons, but I think that microtech makes the toughest knives I’ve ever seen.

Fit and finish are amazing.  Powerful coil spring.  Light enough to wear with shorts.  I can&#039;t find one thing that I don&#039;t like about this knife.  

This knife is simply amazing, and for $185....wow. fit and finish is second to none. This knife is flawless.  I&#039;ve only had it a few days now but can&#039;t stop looking at it. The trigger button is firm and solid and the action is strong and deliberate.  The lock up is rock solid with no slop or play. The blade is incredibly sharp, possibly the sharpest knife I&#039;ve owned to date. I would highly recommend this knife for twice the money.
