I have some of these in the xpac variation. They work but your longer pens and items are barely going to catch the edge of the fabric. If you plan on using the outside slots the inside stash pocket is going to be a tight fit and vice versa. I currently use mine as my bags admin pouch that holds my pens and pencils for work. The inside I keep a small set of scissors and an ultem marlin spike for knotting. Currently packed out it will not fit in any pocket other than my cargo pockets of my work pants.
