About the Designer
Rolf Helbig, like many young boys, always carried a pocket knife. In 1977, he began working in his father's kitchen, where he discovered the importance of a good chef knife. This sparked his interest in metallurgy and he realized that a knife is more than just a tool. Inspired by the simplicity and practicality of knives from the past, Rolf designed the Foosa and the Weasel.
About the Design
Rolf's goal with the Foosa and the Weasel was to create knives that harken back to a time when simplicity and functionality were key. The Foosa features a modern handle design paired with a classic blade type, resulting in a sleek and ergonomic profile. Designed by Rolf Helbig, this knife is not only stylish but also highly functional with its non-locking sliding joint mechanism. The CPM S35VN blade ensures reliable cutting performance in both outdoor and urban environments. Additionally, the ball-bearing system contributes to a smooth opening action.
