About the Designer:
Johnathan Sibley pursued his passion for design, art, and craftsmanship after completing high school. He attended art school where he developed his skills in various disciplines such as design, painting, sculpture, jewelry, and illustration. Throughout his career, he has worked in different creative fields including graphic art, CNC programming, luthiery, jewelry making, and furniture making. However, his true calling has always been knifemaking, and he has incorporated all his acquired skills into this craft. Currently, Johnathan owns a knife shop called The Blade Bar in downtown Ben Wheeler, Texas. During the day, he hand-forges knives under the name Djinn Knives, and in the evenings, he works on designs for production knives. Johnathan feels fortunate to be "living the dream" by doing what he loves and supporting his family. In 2018, he had the opportunity to compete on the History Channel's 'Forged in Fire' and was a finalist in season 5, episode 10. He is thrilled to share his designs and his passion for functional, artistically-designed daily knives.
About the Design:
The Havørn knife, named after the White-Tailed Eagle, embodies the qualities of speed, agility, and elegance. This full-sized framelock knife is lightweight due to the extensive internal milling of its 6al4v Titanium frame and carbon fiber inlay. Its design offers users multiple ways to deploy the knife. The wave milling on the show side is not only visually appealing but also provides additional grip.
