About the Designer:
Johnathan Shaw, an 18-year-old Canadian knifemaker, is the youngest member of the Kansept Team. Ever since he was young, Johnathan had a strong interest in knives and tools. When he discovered the art of knifemaking, his passion grew even stronger. At the age of 14, he immersed himself in the craft and dedicated himself to creating top-quality knives. Although he recently closed his shop to pursue a career in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Engineer Officer, Johnathan plans to return to knifemaking after completing his university studies. In the meantime, he continues to collaborate with companies like Kansept Knives to bring his designs to the market.
About the Design:
The Link knife was specifically designed to have a sleek and tactical appearance, while still incorporating the essential features of an everyday carry (EDC) blade: excellent ergonomics and a satisfying fidget factor. The handle shape and forward choil provide optimal ergonomics, while the front-flipper, broad opening hole, and thumbstud add to its fidgetability. The compound grind and subtly tanto-shaped blade not only give the knife a tactical look, but also make it highly practical and versatile with its sharp point and thin edge. Overall, the Link knife represents the perfect combination of tactical aesthetics and utilitarian functionality, a true masterpiece from Triple Stripe Knives.
