Although it&#039;s built for the toughest of tasks the ESEE 5 can perform axe-like cuts and immediately transition to feathersticking or carving notches without skipping a beat. With 1/4&quot; stock, this things a beast! ESEE has a lot of options to choose from and I settled on this one. The ESEE 5 w/serrations and a kydex sheath w/belt clip. I purchased the MOLLE sheath backing and a long pouch seperately (attaches to the kydex sheath). I also purchased some TKC (The Knife Connection) scales, ranger green w/orange liners. They&#039;re a hair thicker in the belly of the handle than the factory scales. It&#039;s a good fix for those that weren&#039;t happy with factory scales. So the 5 is thicker than the 4 and the 6, perfect for batoning a ton of firewood. Very happy with my knife!
