It offers approximately 15-20% improved toughness while slightly sacrificing wear resistance (edge retention). In terms of corrosion resistance, it is slightly higher, comparable to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel that is suitable for everyday use. Mike Irie, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is not just a knife maker but also a collaborator and an amiable individual.
