I confess, this was the first Civivi I ever came into contact with.  Figuring the brand to be much like other Chinese blades, the price point seemed a little high.  But purple is her favorite, and a blade of between 3&quot; and 4&quot; was what we needed and I made the executive decision on the blade style, so order I did.  Upon first examination, honestly I was floored, did a double take in fact. The fit and finish were superb, and I do not say that lightly.  I had to look to make sure what I held was the correct blade.  It was, and the Brazen was so smooth in operation, so firm of lock-up, so darned pretty as to the color, I almost hesitated to give it to my wife as a first EDC knife.  Silly as that sounds, the ease of the action was my real concern, we worked on that instruction together, she&#039;s a natural.  Her and I take classes for seniors self defense, and some of the training falls to a knife as a back up. When one instructor asked to see what we carried, everybody was impressed with her purple Tanto blade.  The action is in a word, amazing. She had to answer some questions about brand and where to shop, we mentioned Civivi and Blade HQ.  I liked hers so much, just ordered one for myself a short time ago. Was tempted to get the same one, but decided on one that matches my heart a bit closer; black on black. Ciao.

If you&#039;re reading this -- buy the PURPLE version -- such a great knife, a bit larger, but a solid choice with an awesome color. No issues or complaints!
