There is so much gimmickery in the knife business when I saw this knife I had to try it.  I&#039;ve long wanted a WELL MADE AMERICAN MADE pocketknife with a traditional blade shape around 3 inches or less using modern steel and handle materials.  I grew up with the clip point style blade as my &quot;EDC&quot; pocket knife and the 112 TRX certainly fills that role. The quality of this knife overall is on par with my Spyderco and Benchmade knives. There is no blade play, everything lines up as it should and it feels premium. I had seen the previous version of the 112 Slim that used pins instead of Torx screws and they really felt like a &quot;cheap&quot; knife.  The TRX version is head and shoulders above the earlier versions of the 112 slim.  I will say I had become accustomed to the convenience of the Axis or compression style locks but I much prefer the blade on the 112 to any offered by Spyderco or Benchmade. Bravo to Buck for stepping up their game in the modern pocketknife world.
