Benchmade Bugout AXIS Lock Knife Tan Grivory (3.23&quot; Stonewash) 535-12

This was the third or fourth Bugout I&#039;ve bought and, the way I have it set up now, I Love it. Most knives need a week or two to &#039;break-in&#039; and slight adjustments to the action/pivot screw. (The action is too tight out of box on these IMO) These are designed to be lightweight not &#039;cheap&#039; and you may need to work the lock back and forth to get it perfectly smooth. {Don&#039;t close the knife as it is unlocking, close it once it is fully unlocked or let it fall shut.} I rubbed some pencil graphite on the back of the tang where it meets the lock bar and then put some heavy KPL (oil) under the axis button where it slides. Then just use it for a while- every knife needs to be tuned to the user and Used for a while.  This looks great with the FT stonewashed titanium scales and a gold/yellow lanyard to match the thumbstud and standoffs. The color combo, even with black hardware looks amazing. This has quickly become my favorite knife for everyday use.

This is the cheapest feeling 170.00 knife I have ever felt. Axis lock is super gritty, action is mediocre, handle feels cheap. I am severely dissapointed I have heard great things about the bugout and Benchmade in general, but as my first Benchmade, this may be my last.
