My very first Bugout and very satisfied.  First of all kudos to BladeHQ very fast shipping it arrived 3 days after ordering and packaged well with freebies so thank you BladeHQ.  Now to the Bugout itself,  Super light to begin with, specially with those carbon fiber scales &quot;very nice&quot; Benchmade really knows what to do with their CF.  Second the blade super sharp ootb, cuts through paper and cardboards like butter.  Third action is smooth also ootb no need for adjustments.  Perfect for edc, literally you won&#039;t even notice it when inside your pocket since it&#039;s super light weight but not to mention looks and feels very sturdy too. Overall 9/10 for this knife and definitely not the last Bugout for me. Happy to have purchased this. 

I have lots of knives but was never really wowed by Benchmade. I finally broke down and added one to my collection. The weight and feel of this knife is incredible. The Crossbar lock is great and easy to operate. Where the knife falls down for me is blade retention. it easily dulls even after sharpening. I will say the factory edge is not good you will find tons of lower end less dollar knives with exceptional out the box edges. To me for the money you are paying for the knife this should be a minimum expectation. Everything else about this knife I love except the edge!

This knife is really cool looking and super light weight. However, I’ve had it barely a month and it already has a full spot from cutting about a 30” piece of cardboard! I thought this steel wa supposed to have superior edge retention. Maybe mine came from a bad batch. Also, even after breaking it in, it still doesn’t open and close smoothly. At about 2/3 open, there is a rub that hinders the blade from swinging freely (even after thoroughly cleaning and lubricating with BM lube.) I didn’t have these problems with my previous black and white mini bugout which was much cheaper. Although this knife looks awesome, I would definitely say it wasn’t worth the price and would not purchase it again.
