amazing quality, the handle is super comfortable and grippy even if you have wet hands, takes and holds an edge amazingly. only downside is the spine of the knife is rounded on the corners so it doesn&#039;t spark a fire steel well out of the box.

Lighter than expected but its 3V steel so I&#039;m sure it&#039;s going to hold up.  It has a ferro rod loop on the sheath but the spine is rounded- so initially couldn&#039;t get sparks.  Used a diamond hone stone and sharpened up the the front part of the spine so if ever I needed too I can use a Ferro Rod. Used it on some wood it&#039;s decent at carving it, and it stayed razor sharp afterwards.  I bought this knife primarily to try the steel and knowing it will hold up.  So far I&#039;m happy with it, not sure I like the grind on the edge but once it dulls a little I&#039;ll work at it with my diamond hone stone to my satisfaction.

Bought it just bc it is a benchmade and made in 3v. It came almost razor sharp. 2 passes on ceramic and it is scary. It is not the most robust knife, but at 3v, it is plenty  stout enough. The sheath is traditional and has the plastic insert, and it retains the knife very well. It isnt going to fall out accidentally. I have other knives that cost me much more that are no more capable than this. The handle is comfortable and give a very good grip. It isnt going to slip out of the hand when wet. For the price, there isnt a better value on the market. Sure you can spend twice as much and get a much thicker blade, but why? it is not a chopper. I would definitely buy again.

The 3v steel holds an edge extremely well, and it&#039;s also super tough without being brittle, I&#039;ve batoned a decent amount of firewood with it, and it chops through everything without even a glint to the edge. The handle is very comfortable, probably the best fixed blade handle I&#039;ve used. The only problems I had with the knife were the same others complained of, the spine is slightly rounded off, so it won&#039;t strike a ferro rod, and the steel is so hard that it takes forever to grind the spine flat. Also, It came razor sharp out of the factory, but I don&#039;t really like the default grind; It feels like it has a thick edge that doesn&#039;t feather stick super well, but you can fix that with a few hours on a whetstone, so it doesn&#039;t really take away from the knife. The sheath it comes with is good quality, and works well. The ferro rod loop fits a 5/16 thick ferro rod. Overall I&#039;d say this knife is worth it for the blade steel, the comfortable handle, and practical design. This knife isn&#039;t going to break on you.
