Acta Non Verba A100 A-Lock Knife Red FRN (3.5&quot; Black DLC ELMAX)

My first impression of this knife was a tad underwhelming. Pulling it out of the box for the first time I noted that the red scales were not as vibrant as the photos portray. The red scales seemed dull and more matte than anything. The knife was sharp and had a good working edge and the action was acceptable but nothing to write home about. This knife has no quick action or flippy action, but you can make due by simultaneously opening with your thumb and flicking your wrist, or flicking your thumb hard enough to open all the way. Though, by far the worst part about this knife is that it&#039;s essentially two scales screwed together with a spacer. The only real semblance of a liner is near the blade pivot. The lack of an actual liner makes this knife feel extremely light and by extension makes it feel cheap. You can actually pinch the scales together near the middle. I&#039;m not positive this knife will survive any actual use, and I&#039;m curious if the price is for the name &quot;Acta Non Verba&quot; or for the Elmax steel blade. Overall, this is a very basic and plain pocket knife,  but I honestly feel that&#039;s part of its charm. I do like this knife, and it cuts very smoothly and nicely but I can&#039;t help but feel the cheap feeling would be completely gone if they had put metal liners in and adding a bit of weight. I had a cheaper knife come in the same shipment this one did, and at a $100 less, it feels a whole lot more stouter than this ANV knife.
