Owned this since it’s release. It’s a beast. Heavy in hand but the weight and perfect size scales give you supreme confidence. I love how the assisted opening is slightly slowed down by the weight of the big blade. Gives it a great mechanical quality. I think the vallation is the true definition of heavy use benchmade quality. 

This knife is super comfortable in hand! The heavy aluminum scales feel great in hand and make heavy duty tasks a breeze. I’ve abused the crap out of mine (cut open oil cans, cut wiring and cable, etc) and it shows no sign of breaking. I really like how the aluminum handle is wearing. My only complaint is I broke the clip when I jumped off a concrete barrier but that was totally my fault so I can’t really complain I’ve got a new one on the way

While I generally am not a big fan of spring assisted knives, this one is really outstanding. In addition to loving the very solid handle that feels good in the hand, the satin finish combined with the cutout portion at the top looks very nice and allows me to position my thumb however I need for solid control on finer cutting tasks. When added to the functional but unobtrusive glass breaker and easy to use safety switch, the Vallation offers great performance and value for its price.

This is a great knife. Super sharp out of the box, solid assist snaps into place. Everything feels solid on this blade. I also love the glass breaker on the butt of the knife. I can&#039;t seem to put it down!
