Civivi does it again with this beautiful knife. The blade has a awesome pattern, it appears to be San Mai Damascus, as you can clearly see high carbon steel sandwiched between damascus on the back of the blade. The ivory G-10 handles are textured well and the color is a good choice as it makes the blade stand out. The Civivi “shark lock” works great, it’s located in a good spot, there is no blade play, and you can open and close this knife 1 handed with ease. I really like this knife and I am thinking about buying the natural G-10 and Micarta versions as well. (Ordered the Micarta version today)

After cutting the tape from one package coating on the blade rubbed off. Now looks like it has a month of use.

Wasn’t sure about this knife when I ordered it only because of the weight issue but the ergonomics are really great and it slipped right in the pocket with a good feel. I would really recommend it if you’re looking for a stout knife and don’t mind a little bit of extra weight than the normal G-10 type issue. 

I loved the lines on this knife and grabbed it on sale. Opened it up to find it heavy, as expected, and hard to open, unexpected for a kershaw. I had to work on it a bit to fine tune it and get the framelock to loosen up a bit. Now that I have that working the only problem is the sharp edges and jimping, considering sanding the edges to make it a little more comfortable. But for a decorative/conversation starter it shows a lot of blade for the handle size and has found its way in my pocket more than expected.

This knife was extremely well thought out. The ergos are increadible and it&#039;s a joy to use. The blade is great for most edc tasks and slices with ease.  You really need to have this knife in hand to ses what makes it great. It feels and preforms extremely well. There are many spyderco knives that I love but this one is my favorite. I&#039;m very happy to have the privilage to own this masterpiece. One of my favorite knives at any pricepoint. 

I have seen this knife marketed as a tactical knife and I guess it fits that roll. But, the wharncliffe shape, thin blade (think it has a hollow grid) and S30V steel makes  it an absolutely awesome utility knife. The canis cuts cardboard boxes open like a laser.  

The Canis is great..It looks like a hawk talon...I like it more than the Yojimbo2..just seems more solid...still gotta be careful with the tip but the lockup and action are impeccable ...fun knife to carry.

This knife caught my eye during the pre-order and I couldn&#039;t get it out of my mind.  It really is one of my favorites now,too and I&#039;m glad I finally pulled the trigger.  

I pre-ordered this knife immediately after seeing it in the mid year release. I have always been a fan of the Yojimbo 2 but have been wary of the delicate tip. This model is everything I wanted that was lacking from the Yojimbo. I would not be surprised at all if Mr. McCann had some conversations with Mr. Janich before designing this knife. Instantly has become one of my favorite Spyderco models. Do not hesitate.

Fit and finish are great.  The size is a tad small but the blade is very utilitarian.  Great steel.  Superb lock-up.  No lock stick.  Nice pocket clip.  A bit uncomfortable in the hand when doing hard work but overall I really like this knife.

I&#039;m 100% a fan of this knife. After playing with it for the first few hours I am blown away by how much it reminds  me of my crk Inkosi. The way it fits in the hand, notch on the top of the blade, feel of the titanium and ever the action feels familiar.  This knife is half the price and for some people  may find the looks more appealing for me they are both top notch and great buys.

I had been looking at this knife for months and finally bought it. It has perfect craftsmanship, great materials, good ergonomics, and it is aesthetically pleasing. The only drawback is the somewhat stiff opening action. I oiled the knife and have been breaking it in, but the action seems to stay a bit stiff. So close to a five-star knife.

Fit and finish are excellent.  Blade is well centered.  Opening is smooth and easy but not snappy.  Closing is also smooth and easy.  It fits my hand well with or without utilizing the finger choil but it&#039;s not the most comfortable to grip.  It&#039;s not a heavy knife but it&#039;s not lightweight either.  I&#039;ll definitely use it for EDC and feel confident about it.  While not a perfect 5, it is more than a 4!
